Childhood Favorites

Where in the world am I? Italy, hopefully enjoying some classic gelato right now! I can’t wait to share about all of the great food, wine, scenery, and culture that Italy has to offer. Until then, another tantalizing summer treat…
Italian ice is one of my favorite summer treats. There is a truck that comes around my neighborhood daily for as long as I can remember. The music is both catchy and annoying, but a summer day would not be complete without it. They sell ice cream bars as well, but are known for their icey treats. They have classic flavors like cherry and lemon, but also more adventurous ones like root beer and cotton candy. My personal favorite is watermelon! The ice is light and refreshing, a perfect treat on a hot summer day!
Question: What is your favorite cold treat on a hot day?
